FedBucks Improved Access Hubs

Local GPs are working together to offer patients better access to appointments in General Practice in Buckinghamshire, known as the ‘Improved Access’ Service. On Sundays and Bank Holiday weekends, FedBucks are offering Improved Access appointments from 9am – 1pm. These appointments can be booked through the practice you are registered with, and are being offered from three Improved Access Hubs located at:

High Wycombe Hospital: PCC (located at the MIIU) Queen Alexander Road, High Wycombe, HP11 2TT

Stoke Mandeville Hospital: PCC – Corridor 5, Gate 2, Mandeville Road, Stoke Mandeville, HP21 8AL

Threeways Surgery: Pennylets Green, Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, SL2 4AZ

How to book an Improved Access appointment

To book an Improved Access appointment ring your GP Surgery as normal, where the reception staff will tell you where clinics are being held on what day, and the times of the available appointments. A convenient appointment will then be booked for you. Please note this is not a walk in service - if you need urgent medical advice after 6.30pm, please phone NHS 111.

Cardiology Triage Service

FedBucks now operates the Cardiology Triage Service.


FedBucks offer a Cardiology Triage Services which allows our specialists to work in partnership with Buckinghamshire GPs in delivering an efficient service to their patients.


Referrals can be received from all Buckinghamshire GP Practices via fax or Choose & Book for convenience and feedback will be provided as to the best course of action; should it be advice to the GP, urgent referral to secondary care or a standard referral to secondary care.#


If you have any Cardiology concerns please discuss them with you GP and they will ensure that any issues requiring referral are submitted to Fedbucks.


Community Hospital Medical Cover

FedBucks provides experienced GPs to look after all day-patients at Thame Community Hospital and other local Buckinghamshire hospitals.

FedBucks offers vaccination against cervical cancer, shingles and the flu, where appropriate. These vaccinations are administered via your own Buckinghamshire GP.  Please contact your GP for further details, who can organise and order the vaccination on your behalf.

Flu is a highly infectious illness that spreads rapidly through the coughs and sneezes of people who are carrying the virus. It occurs every year.

You are eligible to receive a FREE Flu Jab if you:

  • are 65 years of age or over;
  • are pregnant;
  • have certain medical conditions;
  • are living in a long-stay residential care home or other long-stay care facility;
  • receive a carer's allowance, or you are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill; or
  • are a healthcare worker with direct patient contact or a social care worker.

If you are not eligible for a free NHS Flu Jab FedBucks is working with over 90% of GP practices across Buckinghamshire to provide vaccinations - call your GP practice to book an appointment.
