Nicola is our HR Advisor for Urgent Care Services. Here, she tells us about how her role has developed since joining FedBucks three years ago.
“Since joining the organisation, I have been able to rapidly develop my knowledge and skills in human resources, which has resulted in me embarking on a professional qualification in HR. I think a company’s biggest asset is its people, and I enjoy supporting staff with their development.
HR can be so varied – it can be very challenging, but also so rewarding. I work with such a dedicated team, who go above and beyond to make FedBucks the nimble service provider it is.”
Tom works in our Primary Care Services Team. Here, he tells us more about his role as an Assistant Operations Manager.
“My role involves working closely with our Operations Manager and the Primary Care Services (PCS) team to help develop primary care services to improve patient experience. I enjoy supporting the PCS team, dealing with new challenges and solving problems together. The team work tremendously hard, and there is never a dull moment!

Our Lead Nurse, Zoe, talks about her role and why she enjoys working at FedBucks.
“My role at FedBucks is very varied! I lead the nursing, paramedic and clinical pharmacist teams that work within our GP Out of Hours and Urgent Treatment Centre services. Working alongside the Clinical Director, I support with all clinical matters and I am also the lead for Infection Control and the deputy lead for Safeguarding. In addition, I work clinical shifts as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in our Out of Hours clinics, and as a Navigator in our Urgent Treatment Centre. Recently, I helped to set up various Covid support services, and worked clinically within these roles too. As I am sure you can imagine, no two days are the same but I love the variety and find the work interesting and challenging.
The thing I enjoy most about working for FedBucks is our amazing team. Everyone is caring, skilled, hardworking and dedicated to providing the best possible health care for Buckinghamshire residents.”
